Taraba FRSC to commence full enforcement on drivers license and tricycle registration

The Taraba Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is to commence full enforcement of operation show your driver’s license from all road users in the state.

Mr Frank Ekwueze, Sector Commander of the corps made this known on Saturday during a ‘Walk Show’ organised by the command in collaboration with members of the team Road Safety club of NYSC in Jalingo.

Ukwueze announced that the full enforcement would commence on October 2, urging all drivers to comply with the directives.

He said that the measures became imperative to ensure safety of both drivers and commuters.

He also urged owners of trycycles (Keke napep) to register their trycycles with the corps.

He said that the registration would ensure security for both the machines and their operators, especially in times of security challenges.

“This Programme is a statewide programme intended to sensitize the public on safety while driving.

“We want the public to be aware that the corps will work within it’s mandate to ensure that all road users have their drivers license.

“Also operators of trycycles also get their trycycles registered for their security and that of their machines.

” All the security agencies in the state are aware and part of this Programme and they are ready to support this enforcement to the later.

“We will commence the full enforcement very soon and who ever that violates the laws must pay for it.”
