Senator representing Adamawa Northern Senatorial Zone,Mr Ishaku Abbo Cliff revealed efforts he made for the construction of two medium size Dams in Kwaja ward of Mubi South Local Government (LG) and Muchalla ward of Mubi North LG by the Ministry for Water resources.
Cliff in his Facebook official page revealed that Hon Jafar Magaji Haske, Member Representing Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha at the lower chamber has also facilitated for a dams to be constructed in Manjekin Ward of Maiha LGA in his constituency after a letter was written by him to the minister for water resources.
“Last week, just two days after arriving Abuja from my 43 days stay In Adamawa state for my holidays I was told that the Hon. Minister for water resources has set up a 5 man committee to visit Muchalla, Mubi North, Kwaja Mubi South and Manjekin in Maiha LGA. I had to come back to Adamawa state.
“For the past three days, my colleague and I in the Green Chamber, Rt. Honorable Jafar Haske Magaji led a team of 5 Engineers from the Federal Ministry of Water resources for the assessment of the sites for the 3 Dams approved by the Federal Government.” He said
According to him after the accessmennt they found the best site for such Dams which would each provide treated water to over 250,000 households in the constituency.
He said the Dams will also improve irrigation for farming purpose, water body for fishing and Animal use for the communities and its environs.
While assuring the people of Adamawa State they would serve them in the best way they can and see that their communities enjoy the dividends of democracy,he thank President Muhammadu Buhari and called him a supporter for development.
“I’m grateful to the Honourable Minister, Traditional rulers of such communities and the entire constituency for their support and continued prayers.” Cliff added
