Pharmacist Dr. Wafari Theman on Wednesday 17th November, challenged Nigerian Engineers to provide solutions and be job creators to help solve the unemployment gap in our Nation.
Wafari, the Adamawa Chairman of Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN) was speaking as a special guest of Honour at the 15th Annual National Engineering Conference/Exhibition taking place at the Federal Polytechnic Mubi.
He challenged Nigerian engineers to come up with affordable and efficient methods that will ease farm mechanization and production for the average Nigerian Farmer to boost food sufficiency and security.
Wafari emphasized that the average Nigerian is depending on the Engineer to help him or her carry out their daily chores with ease and speed, and to also catch up with advanced societies.
He, therefore, told lecturers and students that the world is eagerly waiting for them to make available engineering solutions in all facets of life.
He called on participants at the conference to live up to the present challenges facing us as a people and focus on ensuring that solutions are provided to ease societal challenges increasing job opportunities and businesses.
Earlier, the Lead paper presenter, Engineer Professor M. E Ibrahim had called on his colleagues to join politics and help influence policies that will ease engineering procedures in Nigeria.
