A group known as Yoka Indigines in diaspora have organised a free JAMB preparatory class for indegines of Takum local government area of Taraba state.
Speaking at the programme, a Member of the group, Asst Controller General of Prisons (rtd) (Now Correctional Service), Ekijere Aken Shidi Said that the JAMB class was aimed at enhancing the chances of passing the exam with good point that will qualify the prospective candidates to University of their choice.
He explained that the education growth of the area was in the heart of the group and that was why they galvanized resources to ensure that younger generation have access to the requisite knowledge they needed to get admitted into higher institutions.
He urged other wealth to do members of the community to also think of a way they can contribute to the growth of the area and the youths, saying when that is done, the community will no doubt witness unprecedented growth.
Shidi also encouraged young people in the area to take advantage of the programme as it’s service is absolutely free.
Over one hundred and fifty candidates have so far enrolled for the programme which is currently taking place at Salama Primary School in Takum.
