The interim chairman of the Adamawa state Reformed peoples Democratic Party (R/PDP),Alhaji Jauro Hammanjoda Girei has charged the stakeholders and supporters of the party to unite as a formidable force to fight impunity and injustices.
Alhaji Jauro Girei gave the charge at a press conference in Yola yesterday stressing that what is causing the ongoing fracas with in the party was due unfair treatment mated on the aggrieved members right from the conduct of party congresses from the wards up to state level .
Girei stated that no where in the political scene globally that you work as a team to the victory of your party only for very few to take charge to detriment of co-travelers and expect peace and harmony to exist calling on stakeholders to do the needful in addressing the unnecessary differences.
He also announced that the party interim leadership under his watch will soon form three main committees namely ; Advisory committee,Reconciliation committee and Disciplinary committee with a sole aim of offering solutions on best to move the party as one big family.
He explained that by tomorrow (Friday) all party chairmen and secretaries of the twenty one (21) local government areas in the state will commence registration of membership and issuance of party card in their new rPDP register.
The chairman added that the registration is optional as any one with the old registration and card of the other faction in the state can still maintain it since it is the party but only divided due to clash of interests.
Hammanjoda commended the bold step taken by Dr Umar Ardo in challenging the alleged unconstitutional formation of the Barrister shehu Tahir led state exco which the government is recognizing in the state.
Continuing Hammanjoda added that just two days ago serving senator Ishaku Abbo representing Adamawa Northern district in the senate declared his support hundred percent to course of rPDP public ally insisting that they are on the right track.
“I want to use this forum to acknowledge the encouraging support we are receiving from all and sundry in the state and beyond in which the latest was from distinguished Senator Abbo who just two days back added his blessings on our movement.
“Ours is to fight the state government under Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri but calling for attention with the simple aim righting the wrongs so that peace,harmony and tranquility can be achieved.
“I believe by the time ,we sit on a round table to dialogue over this differences ,all interests shall be captured as I know the national secretariat under the leadership of Chief Uche Secondus will do something in addressing it very soon because the party belong to all of us”.Hammanjoda reiterated.
