Finally, finally 16th December has become a day of celebration to any well meaning and lover of Adamawa state. For the first time in the history of this administration for people of the state to came out in their great numbers from all works of life to give a Zenith welcome to the state Governor, senator Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla Bindow for yesterday a Supreme Court in Abuja ruled a case in his favor.
The Governor who was a day away to attend the wedding Fatiha of President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter while the verdict of the case was given.
As early as 2:pm Adamawa people from various local governments began to visit the Yola international airport to welcome the people’s Governor. When exactly 6:pm the plane landed as many because of joy were trying to hug the plane before it’s stops.
The unprecedented crowd were shouting ” sai Bindow “, “Barda Da zuwa gwamnan Talakawa “,Kayi mun gani mai Jama’a”, Allah ya baka shekara takwas “,those are the words of praises that the people showered on him.
From the airport to the market junction it was a standstill way as people were seen lined up along the duo road lifting up their hands celebrating the moment.
All through yesterday to this morning is a celebration fanfare because of how the victory of judgment that coincided with the wedding of a notable politician and a Personal Assistant (PA) to former vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar the Turakin Adamawa will be given his daughters hand in marriage to the ALGON chairman of the State, Barr Aliyu Wakili Boya.
The verdict which was in clear terms given as simple, brief and short at exactly 9:45 turned Adamawa state into a celebration mode as the judgement became a topic of discourse. Clusters group of people in resting places, restaurants, market and even bear parlours are happily discussing and celebrating the success of the case.
Because of how the mammoth crowd blog the road in show of solidarity, Bindow has to come out and began to wave his hands to them. Appreciating them for their support and prayers,promised them a continuity of good governance.
