One of the patients of COVID-19 who is under medical check at the National Youth Service Corp NYSC Camp Jalingo has absconded.
The Chairman of the task force committee on COVID-19 and the Commissioner of health Doctor Innocent Vakkai made this known to newsmen in Jalingo on Saturday.
Innocent said Talatu Idris who is one the eight cases at the isolation center left the camp to an unknown destination.
He implored the general public to be on the lookout for the patient to avoid spreading of the pandemic.
He reiterated government’s effort to contain the virus, adding that the government has purchased more ventilators in addition to the ones given by the Northeast Development Commission, NDC.
The commissioner further stated that the Northern governor’s forum are deliberating on the need to purchase Mobile Testing Kits in the States that will aid in curbing the menace.
