2 Brothers Arrested for Beheading 10-Year-Old Almajiri Boy in Adamawa, Claim ‘Devil Made Them Do It’

A gruesome murder has shaken Adamawa State, Nigeria, after two brothers, Ibrahim Abdulmalik (27) and Aliyu Abdulmalik (18), were arrested for allegedly beheading a 10-year-old Almajiri boy, Abdalla Lawali.

The incident occurred on March 7, 2025, in Angwan Sarkin-Yamma, Jada Local Government Area. The suspects confessed to the crime, blaming the devil for their actions.

According to the police report, the victim’s headless body was found stuffed in a sack, while his head was buried in a shallow grave within the suspects’ family compound.

The Adamawa State Police Command confirmed the arrests and stated that investigations are ongoing. The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has assured the public that justice will be served.

This disturbing incident highlights the need for increased vigilance and protection for vulnerable children, particularly those in the Almajiri system.
