A tower building and maintenance company, IHS Limited has donated two power generators to 2 hospitals in Adamawa state government.
The two generators were received by Dr A. Belel for the Malamre Clinic Yola plant and Fenny J Fwa for the Cottage Hospital Borrong , Demsa plant, today.
The recipients thank the company for such a developmental initiative and urged other companies to emulate the good gesture for a better Adamawa state and Nigeria as a whole.
According to the company, the donation is part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and they set out to play a major part in bridging the power gap in Nigeria and at the same time give back to the host communities.
Founded by Issam Darwish in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2001, IHS is also said to be a company specialising in building towers and managing sites for mobile network operators (MNOs).
It is one of the world’s fastest growing tower operators and maintains operations in Nigeria, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Zambia and Rwanda. Following the recent acquisitions of the tower portfolios of MTN and Etisalat in Nigeria, IHS owns and manages over 23,000 towers in Africa.
IHS further operates three business models; building its own tower sites and leasing them to operators; acquiring existing MNO sites and leasing tower space back; taking over the management of operators networks with an agreement to lease the sites to other operators.
