According to a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Macauley Hunohashi, Sen Jibrilla said, “despite the gale of defections that blew across the country’s political landscape the APC is still in control of affairs, and clinching the three federal legislative seats is a testimony of the trust, confidence and love Nigerians have for the ruling party and president Muhammadu Buhari’s commitment to take Nigeria to greater height.

“i also consider the out come of the polls very crucial because it has shown to Nigerians a clear sign of what to expect in 2019.
I therefore wish to cogratulate Ahmad Baba Kaita from Katsina North, Lawal Yahaya Gumau who won in Bauchi South as well as Haruna Isa from Kogi west who emerged victorious at what was adjudged free and fair elections”, he further stated.

The governor therefore commended the leadership of the APC in the three states for feilding popular and acceptable candidates to fill the vacant posts.

“i am proud of my party for creating a level-playing ground and encauraging the culture of internal democracy for all the aspirants to test their popularity”, the gov said.

He also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, and security agengies for their roles in ensuring hitch-free, and peaceful elections.
