The gate of Adamawa state House of Assembly (ADHA) Complex has this morning, Monday,is stormed with many DSS operatives and Men of the Nigerian Police.
Their coming to the assembly is on connection with the last Saturday’s impeachment controversy of the Deputy speaker (Emmanuel Tsamdu) and other principal officers of the House.
You will recall that the impeachment was done last Saturday plenary when the Deputy speaker, Hon Emmanuel Tsamdu stage a Work out while presiding over the sitting after a much conviction his honorable colleagues were set to stage a “Kangaroo” impeachment.
The member representing Mubi North constituency,Hon Shehu Mohammed Sani raised a motion for pro tempo speaker to preside over the plenary.
Immediately motion was raised in favoured of Hon Lumsambani Dilli Mijah,representing Demsa constituency to be the next deputy speaker and was Said to have presided over the Saturday’s plenary that was later changed three principal officers.
Honourable Tsamdu holds that he is still the Deputy speaker as due process of the impeachment was not properly carried out,maintaining that members present and those signed the impeachment list did not form the 2/3 majority to impeach him.
A DSS senior officer who want to be anonymous Said they are at the Assembly to make sure that a peaceful plenary holds today.
According to him members are expected to behave themselves well,maintain decurom of being honourable and respected.
Possibility of having a peaceful plenary today is hard to say as supporters of impeached Deputy speaker and the other three principal officers are also storming the ADHA Complex.
