Some Adamawa State indigenes Schooling at the University of Maiduguri were evacuated by the Senator representing Northern zone,Mr Ishaku Abbo because of the covid-19 virus spreads extending to many state in the country.
Abbo through the support of the Governor of Maiduguri,Babagana Zulum provided busses and security to ferry the stranded Adamawa state students out of Borno state at the shutting down of schools due to the Corona Virus outbreak.
The Senator took to his official social media handle to appreciate the Borno State Government for supporting his effort in evacuating the students.
Abbo posted:
“I want to Sincerely thank the Governor of Borno state HE Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum for supporting my efforts in the evacuation of Adamawa state students from Maiduguri Borno state. His Excellency willingly and happily provided busses and security to ferry the stranded Adamawa state students out of Borno state when schools were shut down due to the Corona Virus outbreak.
“With just a single call to you sir, you set machinery in motion to help my brothers and sisters. Thank you Sir!!!!!
“I also want to thank Comrade Salihu who personally appealed to me to help the students even when he was safely at home – Hong. Mr. Salihu continue with your concern and Love for humanity. I feel happy when I see young people like you loosing your sleep because of other people’s problem. God bless you.

“To the Secretary General of Adamawa students Union in Unimaid Mr. Usman, I am proud of you as a young leader from my state. You stayed back to ensure everyone of your comrades are safely returned home. You stayed back not out of comfort but out of sense of responsibility. God bless you.
“To every student of Adamawa state still stranded in Maiduguri, kindly contact Mr. Usman or Jason as a standby bus is stationed in Maiduguri to take you back home when the nation is facing partial lockdown due to this plaque.
