….as they partner Muslim Youth for a better Adamawa state

The Adamawa State Chairman, Youth Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), Rev Gabriel L Shall in his new year message charged the youths in the state to live a productive life for nation building.

Gabriel called on them to be hard working and innovative in attaining financial freedom as poverty is the shackles that enslave them to mere willing tools of all sorts of social menace.

“Poverty has enslaved many youths in the country, exposing them to contempt and ridicule. No youth in the state should depend on salary alone or single means of income.” Shall said

According to him, Adamawa State is virgin land, there are several endless opportunities for financial freedom in the state, and being earnest in productivity what they to be patriotic citizens.

Gabriel also said that as things are getting tougher across the world, and the nation, youths should devise various means of financial freedom and liberty. Because when they are economically empowered, the country can be freed from the decadence of corruption.

“There is no integrity in depending on our parents for a livelihood when we are of age. There is absolutely no justifiable reason for us to be used as a tool in the hands of crafty political leaders, as an avalanche of terror on account of peanuts and money we can earn through our sweat and labor.

“When our political leaders want to launch out their political campaigns, they seek the services of youths, when it is time for the election, the youths command the majority in all polling stations across the nation. At the end of the election, youths are not found in government Houses and State House of Assemblies, we don’t find youths at the National Assembly. When we give them a power push, our leaders become inaccessible and unreachable.

“The worse facilities across our nation, are sports councils, Centers for entrepreneurship, recreation centers, ICT Centers, and educational institutions, that is if at all they exist. This is a poignant indication that the youths are not on the agenda of our present crop of politicians.

“In the year 2021, we want to bring the heads of the youths together in the State, in 2022, we will become vocal and dominant in all the political arenas in Adamawa State, in 2023 we will make ourselves major decision-makers in the state. Youths will no longer follow politicians because they are hungry, rather, we will look for leaders with genuine political ambition and passion for the nation and the masses, and print their campaign posters and sponsor their political rallies from our pockets, we are tired of staying in the shadow, it is time to move forward.” He added

He revealed that the Christian youths in Adamawa under his leadership are partnering with their Muslim youths to liberate youths in the state from poverty.

“YOWICAN is in a very good relationship with our Muslim counterparts in the state, together, we will liberate our youths from the quagmire of setbacks and failures. Don’t get me wrong, we don’t intend to undermine our present leaders, they are doing their very best but the point we are making is that their best cannot translate to economic freedom for the youths, we will therefore take our destinies into our hands by being creative and innovative.

“Adamawa State youths should be prepared for greater revival programs this year 2021, we will come up with viable and workable Entrepreneurship training that will boost spiritual development and mental megabits for financial breakthrough.

“Feel free to approach us if you have great ideas that are capable of yielding results, you can contact us at the YOWICAN State Secretariate. We are open to working with an idea that will better the lives of our enviable youths.
We have slept so much in 2020, we won’t sleep again until the dignity of our youths is fully restored.

“Finally, in the face of present challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, I charge the youths to comply with all guidelines and lead by example.”
