Unidentified gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Wednesday abducted 25 Youths along Wukari_Takum road in Taraba state at 6pm.
Reliable sources in Wukari and Takum LGAs told our Correspondent that the 25 Hausa Youths were on their way back to Takum from Wukari where they attended a marriage ceremony when they ran into a road block mounted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers.
The victims who are all male, were traveling in a commercial bus and ran into a road block at a spot between Amadu and Chanchanji and the gunmen commandeer the bus into the bush.
Speaking with our Correspondent on telephone, a relation of some of the victims, Muhammed Takum said the victims had attended a wedding ceremony of a friend in Wukari when they were abducted at a location between kofan Amadu and Chanchanji while on their way back to Takum, Wednesday evening.
He explained that, the kidnappers and bandits chased away from Benue state have regrouped in the forest along Wukari_Takum and Takum_ Katsina_ Ala roads terrorizing innocent travelers.

Muhammed Tukum, further stated that up to now the kidnappers have not contacted the families of the victims.
He said, there is tension in the town as no body know where about of the 25 Hausa Youths including the driver of the bus that conveyed them.
When contacted, Spokesperson of Taraba state Police Command, DSP David Misal confirmed the incident.
“We confirmed that they are missing but not established either kidnapped or otherwise, investigation commenced” said DSP David Misal.
