Eid-El-Fitr: Gov Fintiri, Lamido, Others Observe Prayers In Yola

In commemoration of this 2021 Eid-El-Fitr celebration, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Thursday joined Lamido Adamawa Doctor Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa and other Muslims to perform the two raka’at supererogatory prayers at Modibbo Adama Central Mosque, in Yola.

The Governor was accompanied to the mosque by the secretary to the state government, SSG Malam Bashir Ahmad, some members of the State House of Assembly, Commissioners, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants among other top Government functionaries.

In his sermon after he led the two raka’at prayers, the Chief Imam of Modibbo Adama Central Mosque Yola, Khadi Ahmadu Bobboi explained the virtues of giving out zakatul fitr after completion of Ramadan and called on Muslims to carry out the act for abundant reward from Allah.

Khadi Bobboi enjoined Muslims to follow suit the traditions of Prophet Muhammad and rededicate themselves towards serving Allah beyong the Ramadan period for blessings from Allah.

He offered special prayers for peace and tranquillity, progress and development of Adamawa and Nigeria as a whole.

After the prayers, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has accompanied Lamido Adamawa Dr Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa inside the palace where he presented a traditional Sallah Gift to the royal father on behalf of the government and people of Adamawa state.

Doctor Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa after receiving the sallah gift congratulated Governor Umaru Fintiri and the people of Adamawa for a successful completion of Ramadan fast and felicitate with them for the Eid-El-Fitr Celebration.

Meanwhile Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in an interview with newsmen has urged Muslims in Adamawa to strengthen love and unity and shun away from any differences, hatred and vices so as to stimulate growth and development of the state.

Fintiri reminded the people on the Covid-19 pandemic and urged them to maintain all safety protocols and take the first and second doses of the coronavirus vaccines as it is the only surest way to fight the virus that has been ravaging the world.

Answering question on the deteriorating security in some parts of the country, the Governor called on Leaders and politicians to shield their differences and put the country first before any other thing for the growth, peace and tranquility of Nigeria.

He reiterates that his administration will not relent as it will continue to do its best to ensure that Adamawa state is developed in all ramifications thereby changing the narratives so that the future will be brighter to those in the next generation.
