Security: Nig Military delegation visits Czech Republic to strengthen bilateral relations

Nigerian Military delegation visited Czech Republic for the international Defence and Security Technologies Fair, which took place at Brno to enhance cooperation in the area of security technology of the two countries.

Nigerian Czech Republic Ambassador, His Excellency, Mr Kevin Peter who welcomed the delegation told our correspondent that the visit was to enable Nigerian Armed forces explore and access modern Defence equipment to improve in the fight against insurgency and banditry.

Peter said the Czech Republic Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Transport,Jakub Kulhánek also in honour received the powerful delegation from the Defence and Army Headquarters Abuja.

At the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prague, the Czech Republic, Amb.Kevin received the delegation from the Defence and Army Headquarters Abuja accompanied by the Defence Attaché Col. Kabiru Rabiu.

According to him a seven man Military Generals delegation, led by Maj. Gen J O Oni are in the Czech Republic on behalf of the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS ) to represent the Armed Forces in the world Annual Defence Equipment Trade fair in Brno.

“This will enable the military to practically see and meet with the Defence industry players and discuss about partnership.” Peter said

The Czech minister,Jakub and other officials at the meeting expressed their happiness and willingness to partner with Nigeria to always cement their Mutual bilateral agreements.

Ambassador Kevin said his joy is limitless to have received such a powerful delegation from the Defence institution.

“The visit is timely and important considering the security situation on ground. Am highly optimistic about our absolute victory over our enemies of peace and progress.” He said

While thanking Ambassador Peter and partners like, Excalibur International for the warm reception and the role they played, the leader of the delegation expressed satisfaction over all that they have seen and discussed in the interest of the duo nations.
