A call was made to All Progressives Congress (APC) to unite and remove the present Governor of Adamawa State come 2023, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri
An APC Presidential aspirant, Mallam Adamu Garba blasted Ahmadu and said the removal is necessary because the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, under the leadership of Governor Ahmadu is a ‘Pharoah’ looking government mortgaging the destiny of the state.
Adamu said this Saturday evening during a special Iftar Program organized by the Coalition of APC Youth organizations in collaboration with West Africa Youth Congress (WAYC) to honor Malam Jamilu Yusuf Dan’Umma who is making the APC party proud with his magnanimity support.
Adamu accused Governor Ahmadu of handpicking the entire system to himself and the PDP, making it a one-man government.
He worried that the multiplier effect of government is not been felt, Ahmadu kept everything good of the government to himself and everybody including the government functionaries are begging to live.
“All we see today is that Fitiri is the party leader of PDP and the Governor who took full control of the government Apparatus to himself. Let’s unite and chase him out to wherever he is coming from.
” Is dividing us in this state rather uniting us, nothing is working for the good of all. One man can not divide us as a state.” Garba said
He said the way and manner Fintiri has cornered the party in the state to be fighting former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is becoming unbecoming.
According to him, PDP is existing only in Rivers, the only state in Nigeria which is why Fintiri has shifted his total loyalty to Nyesome Wike, the Governor of the state and one of the PDP Presidential aspirants.
Garba who is an indigene of Adamawa addressed the APC Youth at AUN Hotel in Yola and charged them to take over from the government of PDP which is stagnant and is not doing well for the overall interest of the state.
Garba said Adamawa Youth are known World over as solution creators and problem solvers, the spirit Jamilu is having to break fallow grounds, supporting APC, the less privileged to achieve something meaningful in life.
He said what Jamilu is doing, helping the needy in the society and supporting the APC party in the state shows the future of Adamawa is in the hands of the youths.
“The Youths are setting a pace, especially the youth of Adamawa. The future of Nigerian youth is bright. Jamilu is a pillar holding the APC Family not only in Adamawa but Nigeria, we are proud of him, is doing good work.” Garba added
The Iftar in honor of Dan’Umma brought together some APC stakeholders and party leaders in the state.
The Party’s organizing Secretary, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, the publicity Secretary, Mohammed Abdullahi, Youth leader, Baba Iyali, former organizing Secretary, Alhaji Ahmed Lawan, and a host of many others graced the occasion.
Jamil was extolled by the special guests who gave goodwill messages that the contribution to the party by Yusuf is huge and strategic to the growth of APC in Adamawa state, and the sky is his step to his political aspirations.
Abdullahi, the publicity secretary in his words praised Jamilu who is a media consultant to multinational organizations, corporate organizations, and government ministries, agencies, and parastatal is a proud member of the party.
“Jamil you are doing what is good for party people, the Apc, and the state. We will support you in any of your political dreams”. He said
In his earlier submissions, the converner of the Iftar, Comrade Mohammed Ahmed Marafa said the Youth arm of the party in collaboration with the west Africa students association has decided to honor Jamilu, one of the most intelligent young men in the country base on his philanthropic and human feelings toward people.
He said recently Yusuf reached out to 21 local government areas supporters of APC by providing palliative care and empowering much less privileged.
” He has been having meetings with local stakeholders of our party, motivating them with the spirit of unity for a takeover in 2023. We are proud of this young man, the vision he has is for the liberation of humanity irrespective of tribe, religion, or party affiliation.
“We are assuring him that we will work together to see that APC has retain its power and its glory in Adamawa state, ” Ahmed said
The senior image-maker of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, Mr. Solomon Kumangar in his response to Garba’s views on his principal said it’s unfortunate that Adamu is a misguided politician who does not know what it takes to run a government.
He slammed Adamu to be mischievous and shooting his mouth anyhow because is ignorance of the development strides being done by Fintiri
“Another misguided seasonal politician who does know what he is saying. He is not conversant with the development that is happening in the State and is just shooting his mouth anyhow.
” He is either blind or simply being mischievous or economical with the truth. Such a fellow does not deserve to be dignified with a response.” Kumangar
The Iftar was climaxed with a credence of appreciation presented to Jamilu to boost his morale of supporting the APC family and Adamawa less privileged.
