Adamawa State gubernatorial hopeful jostling for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket, Mustapha Umar Madawaki (Otumba) said the party lost Alh. Idi Hong, a former Minister exercising his right to freedom of association.
According to him the APC family is neither aggrieved nor making noise about Idi and his company’s defection.
He However said Fintiri lost Bala Ngilari a former Governor, and Alh. Chubado a close relative and his kinsmen, both from the same local government, because they both lost confidence in his archaic cum Pharo- like style of leadership.
Madawaki AKA Otumba said elections are all about winning and losing. Those to decide are the voting populace.
“Fintiri has always been a roadside home bread dog, whose success in politics is predicated on some fortunate or unfortunate unforeseen situations, emanating from the penuries of others.
“Despite the moderate successes I have attained for both myself and my party, I am willing and able to accept the decision of the people of Adamawa, unlike others who had to be forced out of the Government house. History is there to testify.” Otumba said
Umar said this to replied Mr. Solomon Kumangar, Director General of Communications and Media to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who advised Otumba to throw in the towel of wanting to be Adamawa, next Governor because he can’t win the Primaries
Kumangar in the press statement said the APC party has lost the prominence of its Sons to PDP recently.
Solomon in a Press statement made available to an online medium had earlier said that with the detection of Idi Hong to PDP, there was no clearer message to undecided voters across the state that Fintiri was the better choice.
According to Kumangar With Idi Hongs’s decision to dump APC, it is safe to say that PDP’s chance to improve on the thousands of votes it had in 2019 in Hong is sure.”
Otumba however buttress his view and said Kumangar should tell Fintiri that we are “4.6 billion Naira down” and it is now common knowledge to every citizen of Adamawa
