Civil rights activist and former Senator, who represented Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, says Nigerians should stop troubling the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu over his missing primary and secondary schools’ certificates.
Sani stated this in his reaction to the controversy being generated by Tinubu’s non-submission of his primary and secondary schools’certificates to the Independent National Electoral Commission for the purpose of contesting the 2023 presidential election.
According to a tweet by the former Senator, the matter should be left alone if Tinubu can’t find his certificates as claimed.
“Jagaban built many primary and secondary schools;if you can’t find the one he attended, you can find the ones he built and leave the matter, abeg,” he jocularly tweeted.
Reports that Tinubu did not submit his primary and secondary school certificates to INEC have continued to generate reactions.
The APC presidential flagbearear had claimed that his school certificates were stolen by unknown persons when he was forced into self-exile during the military regime.
He stated this in an affidavit submitted to INEC as part of his eligibility filings for the 2023 presidential elections.
INEC documents released on Friday indicated that Tinubu left the columns for his primary and secondary education empty.
But stated that he obtained a degree in Business and Administration in 1979 at the Chicago State University.
