The ALGON Chairman who is also party Chairman of Girei LG, Abubakar Audu was the chairman of the meeting held Sunday at Madugu hotel in Yola.

He said the party needs to appraise the last primaries that saw the emergence of its candidates into various political offices.

He expressed worries that the last primaries were much beneficial to delegates who can hardly influence a single vote at the detriment of their commitment as the party’s foot soldiers who were being relegated to the backdrop.

He however said that the APC in Adamawa is equal to the task of beating Atiku Abubakar as PDP presidential candidate in the state.

They however Stated their worries by drawing the attention of critical stakeholders at the state and the national level to bring out a reconciliation strategic plan for the party to use in reconciling ailing members.

Audu vowed to use his men as the party’s grassroots campaigners, engaging people from door to door, village to village propagating the APC agenda of all candidates.

“We are lovers of APC in full, we are not going back on our support for the party. Unfortunately, We are not being carried along by the party leadership in the state and at the National level, but because it is our party we will ensure we win all elective positions.

He emphasized a true reconciliation is the party’s panacea to winning an election else is going to be a struggle in futility.

“Let there be true reconciliation of all party men, then we can boast of winning election in 2023. Our major problem in APC is to resolve our differences, reconcile warring factions and individuals, once we have this we are good to go for a landslide victory.” He added

The Chairmen during the engagement meeting which was intended to foster unity and avert a looming crisis in the party, are confident that APC is having sellable candidates who are electable products more than any other party.

They have shifted blame for the failure and weaknesses of the party to a class of politicians they referred to as “Abuja politicians”.
