Former Abia State Governor and the Chief Whip of the Senate, His Excellency Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has expressed confidence in the capacity of Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed (Binani) to win the forthcoming Governorship elections in Adamawa state.
Senator Kalu stated this while responding to journalists after the winner of the just concluded APC Governorship primary elections in Adamawa state paid him a visit in his office today.
The Chief Whip of the Senate expressed confidence that God willing Adamawa people will see a difference in leadership.
When asked how is the party coming together to support the only female Governorship candidate in Nigeria, Sen. Kalu said “the party is closing ranks, you can see she did a wonderful job. She is not abusing anybody. She is talking on issues, what she can do for the masses. The party will give her all the support”.
While extolling the virtues of Gimbiyar Adamawa, Kalu said “this woman is a motivator in the Senate. She is very energetic. She does a lot of jobs in the Senate and committed in all the committees and also committed to the community and this is the fruit of labor she is reaping now”.
Responding on how they feel as a party having a female Governorship candidate, Senator Kalu said “we in the All Progressive Congress and the Senate, we feel very good that things people think are impossible are made possible in our party, therefore we are proud of the party and we are also proud of Senator Binani”.
