An All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate seeking to represent Yola North, Yola South, and Girei federal constituency in the house of representatives, Hon Abubakar Babazango (Abaza), has extolled Nigeria’s first lady Aisha Buhari for her determination to entrench unity and stability in Adamawa State chapter of the party.

The politician noted that with a dogged, determined and unbiased mother like Aisha Buhari, he is optimistic that APC will coast to victory in 2023.

He noted that in a move to ensure the victory of the party, Aishatu Buhari recently convened a stakeholders meeting where a range of issues was discussed in a frank manner.

Babazango noted that to ensure the victory of the party, Aisha Buhari has pledged to come down to the state to campaign for the party in all contested positions.

When asked whether a certain candidate for the governorship position was endorsed as being insinuated in some quarters, Babazango said nothing of that nature happened.

“I was surprised when I saw people posting on social media a different version of what transpired during the meeting.

“This is a meeting that took place in a very convivial atmosphere and people made frank submissions. At the end of the day, it was resolved that the major preoccupation of the party is to ensure the victory of all candidates of the party.

“The first lady even made promised that she will discuss with the two gubernatorial aspirants currently in a legal tussle to see the possibility of discontinuing the case. But the absence of Aishatu Binani during the meeting stalled the move.

“I want to assure you that Adamawa APC is on the right track with the renewed effort of the first lady who is working round the clock to ensure that the party emerges victorious in all contested positions come 2023,” he said.
