Breaking: Yola High Court nullifies Adamawa HoR candidate of APC

Justice M Z Anka of High Court Yola in a judgment nullified the candidature of Honourable Jafar Magaji, an All Progressives Congress, APC flag bearer and House of Representatives Member representing the Federal constituency of Mubi South, Mubi North and Maiha in the National Assembly.

Anka ruled over the case of Hon. Jibrilla Jandami &4 others VS Hon. Jaafar Magaji passed a verdict that APC has no candidate for the 2023 election for the federal constituency.

Justice Anka also ordered that Jaafar Magaji should stop parading himself as the candidate of the party, but he however said the right of appeal within 14 days is allowed.

Counsel to the plaintiff, Barr.Shannah Pwamaddi Maboyofe Esq who initially filed the suit against the Applicants before the engagement of another senior counsel E.O. Odo who led the Applicant’s legal team to victory confirmed to our medium that the decision is the judgment of the Federal High Court Yola.

Jafar in an interview with media men in Yola said is going to appeal over the case with the hope that the appellant court will upturn the judgment
