2023: Adamawa APC in a limbo crisis as EXCOS reject Binani’s state PCC list in circulation

The Adamawa State All Progressives Congress, APC, appears to be in a limbo crisis ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The APC lamented how they stumbled on a surprise list of purported state presidential campaign council members in circulation in Social Media and some National Dailies dated 31st October 2022 as Public announcements.

In a press conference today in Lelewal Hotel, Yola the State Working Committee (SWC) addressed journalists and condemned, and rejected a list of State Presidential campaign council (PCC) to have emanated from Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed (Binani) as Adamawa state coordinator.

The Party officials accused Binani who is the APC gubernatorial candidate before a federal court in annulled her candidacy and asked her to stop parading herself as one.

According to them she single-handedly generated the list without consulting the Party at both State and Local Governments level for necessary inputs and final approval.

The publicity Secretary, Mohammed Abdullahi while addressing journalists in the presence of the acting Chairman, Elder Samaila Tadawus and other party officials said they are rejecting the Binani’s in its entirety.

An investigation by the party officials also revealed that Binani’s lists do not include members of the National Assembly, State Assembly, Candidates, and Critical stakeholders were all not consulted either.

“It will be recalled that the National Presidential Campaign Council contacted the Party at the National level for necessary input and final approval before the Campaign Secretariat released the list. Therefore, the National Campaign

“Secretariat did not confer any right on any State Coordinator to bypass the Party and act unilaterally.

“Given the above, the Party hereby rejects the list in circulation and urges Party members and the general public to disregard same.

“The Party has noted the various complaints from stakeholders who have been deliberately omitted and assure everybody that there will be a meeting of the Party Exco, Local Governments Party Chairmen, Candidates, and Stakeholders on Friday 4th November 2022 at MUNA HOTEL for proper consultations. A comprehensive list of the State Presidential Campaign Council members will be released thereafter.” Abdullahi said
