A trending social media private conversation that dragged the name of the Adamawa State Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Secretary,Rev. Victor J.Saje to have said the entire Christians in the state will vote for Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has been disputed.
Saje dispelled the trending chat and distanced himself with it, called on the general public to disregard it because it is untrue and character defamatory by some mischief makers.
He however reiterated that CAN has no anointed candidate and henceforth the story should not be regarded.
Saje in his response sent to our correspondent stated that:
“Good afternoon everyone, my attention has been drawn to the above private conversation making waves on the social media that someone had and my office was mentioned in other to tarnish the reputation of CAN Adamawa State as well as my humble self as the Secretary. First and famous I know nothing about the conversation, therefore, it is untrue, character defaming and a total work of malicious people whose mission has already failed. Secondly, there was never a time that CAN leadership had such meeting to decide who to support for 2023 election at whatever level, meaning that to the best of my knowledge CAN does not have an anointed candidate. Hence, no one should take the write-up serious.
“Thirdly, we have no issues with all the gubernatorial candidates in Adamawa State and we wish all of them well.
Thanks you and God bless.”
The social media trending story that attracted the response of the secretary he was quoted to have had private discussion with someone said:
