Contrary to news making round that the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibanjo and the Secretary to government of the Federation (SGF), Barr Boss Mustapha have rejected the Muslim Muslim ticket by requesting to be left out of the campaign council.
The the Director of public affairs and the Chief Spokesman of the Tinubu!Shetima Presidential campaign team, Hon Festus Keyamo have refuted the claims by people like Daniel Bwala, the PDP Presidential campaign spokesman and many others who are peddling fake news in many media outlets.
Festus in a statement said there is no cause of concern of the absence of Osibanjo and Boss from the campaign council.
According to him his response is base on the story that is making drawn their attention that something is going wrong within the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Yemi and Mustapha to be missed out in making the campaign list.
“Nothing can he farther from the fact. For the avoidance of doubt, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, is the chairman of the campaign council, as a result Mr President has SPECIFICALLY directed that the Vice President and the Secretary to the government of the federation, Mr Boss Mustapha should he left out of the campaign council and concentrate on the governance of the country and the administration of government. As a responsible party and government, all the key functionaries of government cannot abandon their positions for electioneering campaigns. The APC has the mandate of the Nigerian people to administer the country on their behalf at least till may 29th, 2022, and this we intend to do with all sense of responsibility.
” we will not toe the path of those who governed the country on a irresponsible manner before us and our party is not in total disarray like those who wish to ‘rescue’ the country, but cannot simply manage their own internal affairs.” Festus said
