Hundreds of Adamawa Youth today thronged Yola international airport holding banners and placards with the All Progressives Congress (APC) logo threatened to drag to court the former Governor of Adamawa State, Senator Muhammadu Jibrilla Bindow if he fail to contest the governorship seat comes 2023.
The Youth were chanting “sai ka maimaita Gwamna Insha Ma Allah”, sai kayi, kazo ka karasa Mulkin ka ko mu kai ka koto.” Meaning that he must come back to finish his eight years tenure God’s willing, if he refuses to contest they will drag him to court.
They were shouting Bindow is the Man to change Adamawa immediately after the flight he boarded from Abuja landed.
When contacted, the immediate past Governor told our correspondent that he is home (Yola) for a private visit not on political grounds.
But our reporter gathered that there is pressure from all corners mounting on Senator Bindow to contest the 2023 Governorship seat.
His House in Yola, our correspondent also observed that people from all parts of the state have thronged the House hailing his name and begging him to come back as governor again.
