Your Excellency sir,
You would recall your kind approval in 2019 for sponsorship of Adamawa State Christian Pilgrimage Exercise to Jerusalem (Israel).
Your excellency might also recall that out of the total number approved to perform the 2019 Pilgrimage Exercise, a left over of about 76 intending Pilgrims are yet to be airlifted till date.
We are conscious and fully aware that a payment was made to Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission in this regard. However, we are also aware of the fractional hike in the price of dollar which informed an increase in this year’s cost package as submitted by NCPC to the Adamawa State Christian Pilgrims’ Welfare Board.
The good gesture of your Excellency cannot be overemphasis in terms of your love and concern over the affairs of Christian Pilgrimage. We are cognizance of the challenges in the Administration of the Board where the Executive Secretary Love Z. Zidon is giving an unpleasant repetitive to your administration and thereby is causing a set back to the affairs of Christian Pilgrimage in Adamawa State.
Just to mention that the Executive Secretary is sabotaging the good efforts of your Excellency towards sponsorship of Christian Pilgrimage in Adamawa State.
It is no longer news that the Pilgrims Board has make little or no effort to remind your Excellency of the left over 76 intending Pilgrims you graciously paid for since 2019. Only the difference caused by the raise in price of dollar needed to be completed in the previous years for the affected persons to be airlifted. This was not given due diligence by the Board.
Consequently, this letter is intended to remind the governor of his promises which was published by Love Zidon the ES of Adamawa CPWB that the left over 76 intending Pilgrims would be airlifted after those that visited Rome in June, 2022. We are still hopping and anxiously waiting to be called for screening in preparations for the journey. Our International Passports has been with the CPWB since 2019 awaiting your kind approval for the Pilgrimage.
Your Excellency may use his good office to gear the movement as NCPC is having plans to perform Pilgrimage Exercise in this month of December.
Recall the massive support given to you by the Christian Community in the 2019 general Elections sir. We assure you that the effort to bring you back is doubled already and the tempo would surely be sustained especially when this concern is shown, it would enhance the trust of the Christians and ginger more support in ensuring your re-election for second tenure.
We want to plead with your Excellency to kindly disregard the ongoing crisis between the NCPC and the Adamawa State CAN Chairman and focus on your good intentions for your people. Your Excellency may place priority on his lovely people more than the intent of some few individuals that wants to use their influence to dent your good image.
