As the 2023 general elections draw closer, the Permanent Secretary, Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Taraba State, Alh. Bello Yero has advised all eligible voters of the State to obtain their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs).
Yero, who said with PVCs, an electorate will not only have the power to participate fully in the electoral processes but will also be doing a great service to the Nation pointed out that possession of PVCs is their civic duty and responsibility.
The Permanent Secretary, who spoke to Journalists in Jalingo said credible leaders can only be voted for when Voters have their PVCs.
“Sacrifice your time to get your PVCs and participate in the general elections, please. When you do this, you are doing a great service to the Nation”, he said.
Alh. Bello Yero, who affirmed that Nigerians will be going into elections soon further prayed that the processes be conducted peacefully.
“Let me say that it is not a do or die affair, Elections should be conducted peacefully”,
“Everyone should ensure that he or she gets his or her PVC’s to enable them vote credible Leaders”,.
“You have no right to complain about bad government, if the government is bad, get your PVCs to bring in the people you like, but without PVCs you cannot do this, it is your civic duty and a responsibility you must do.
He further called on the people of the State to tolerate one another and support the Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku led Government, saying in doing so will help move the State forward.
“We should learn to tolerate one another for this State and County belongs to all of us. No person or group can say that this State or Country belongs to him or them”,
BLGCA boss however, solicited for support from the people of the State to enable Governor Darius Ishaku to complete his tenure successfully by ensuring that the State is very peaceful with the people living in peace, unity and harmony with one another.
