The suspension of Mr Zira Musa, Kwarhi Ward Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Hong local government area of Adamawa state was described illegal and has the high tendency of setting the party into a looming rumble crisis ahead of 2023 general election.
Zira was suspended according to a letter of confidence reposed on him by stakeholders which was addressed to the state party chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal and made available to TGNEWS.COM.NG said they are baseless allegations ranging from abusing members of the party, Issuing death threats, alterations of delegates lists, calling meetings without the knowledge of party officials and refused to attend the meeting that suppose to give him fair hearing on 8th November, 2021.
A letter of vote of confidence on Zira by the ward critical stakeholders and all the party excos described the purported suspension as another way to trigger crisis in some part of Adamawa APC that could later flame up to all Local Government areas.
The letter of confidence reposed on the ward chairman by all the ward party officials said the so called disciplinary committee is faceless as the letter presented to Zira is without name of who to have said he signed it.
Abdullahi Hassan, ward secretary who signed the letter reposing vote of confidence on the leadership of Zira Musa to Adamawa state chapter of APC said the Party officials and stakeholders know nothing about the suspension and are therefore having trust and confidence in Zira’s leadership style.
Zira also wrote a personal letter appealing to the state party executive to set aside his suspension by the disciplinary committee because it lacks merit and is full of ambiguity.
He condemned the way and manner the suspension was carried out without giving him a fair hearing as nobody has called him on any bordering issue concerning his ward.
He said his services as the leader of the party in Kwarhi remains intact having the backing of all the excos and the stakeholders to carry out Constitutional functions in his capacity.
According to him the suspension was cooked up by his political black mailers and mischief makers who are held bend in witch hunting him with no just cause.
“It might interest you to know that until my suspension I was never served with any letter of allegation of any sort of any disciplinary committee I refused to honor. You may wish to know that I’m intact with my ward excos by evidence by a letter of vote of confidence served on me.” Zira said
