Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar at the weekend visited ex-President Goodluck Jonathan at his Abuja residence.
The meeting between Atiku and Jonathan is believed to be part of consultations ahead of the 2027 elections.

Atiku, in a post on his verified Facebook page, wrote: “It was a pleasure catching up with former President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday evening, following his recent return from Guinea-Bissau.”
This comes after the former Vice President officially joined the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
Atiku officially joined the ADC following his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, over claims that the party has derailed from the principles of its founding fathers.
There are indications that Atiku may emerge as the presidential candidate of the ADC for the 2027 general elections.
