In a bold declaration ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial elections, the Northern Coalition Socio-Political Group (NCSPG) has issued a stern warning to former Kaduna Governor Malam Nasir El-Rufai, accusing him of attempting to undermine the current administration led by Governor Uba Sani. The group has pledged unwavering support for Sani’s re-election, emphatically stating, “No Vacancy in Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House, Kaduna.”

During a press conference held at the historic Arewa House, the NCSPG’s National President, Comrade Mohammed, outlined the group’s concerns regarding alleged covert maneuvers by El-Rufai to orchestrate the downfall of Uba Sani. “We have credible information about El-Rufai’s nocturnal meetings aimed at orchestrating a political coup against our hardworking and indefatigable Governor,” he asserted. “But let it be known that these plans will never materialize; the citizens of Kaduna are aware of the significant progress and development that has occurred under Uba Sani’s leadership.”
We are here to tell El-Rufai that we know of his schemes against Governor Uba Sani as we approach the 2027 elections
The group’s concerns stem from a backdrop of escalating tensions following the Kaduna State House Assembly’s adoption of a report from a 13-member panel. The report called for investigations into El-Rufai and his administration over a staggering $587 million in inherited debts, N85 billion in liabilities, and other financial irregularities. Rather than addressing these serious allegations, the NCSPG claims El-Rufai has opted for a “fight-to-finish” strategy, eschewing due legal process.
“We are here to tell El-Rufai that we know of his schemes against Governor Uba Sani as we approach the 2027 elections,” Mohammed stated, emphasizing that the group stands firmly behind Sani’s vision for Kaduna. He continued, “Despite the financial challenges inherited from El-Rufai’s administration, including a monthly salary shortfall of N2.2 billion, Governor Sani has demonstrated impressive leadership and commitment to good governance.”
El-Rufai is no longer the Governor of Kaduna State
Highlighting the ongoing struggles faced by Sani’s administration, Mohammed pointed out, “Governor Uba Sani has lamented that the N3 billion left from El-Rufai’s allocation is inadequate to meet the state’s financial obligations. He has chosen to follow due process to address these issues, but El-Rufai seems unwilling to allow peace.”
The NCSPG’s statements also included a direct admonition to El-Rufai regarding his ongoing influence and public appearances. “El-Rufai is no longer the Governor of Kaduna State,” Mohammed asserted. “He should cease his public displays of power, which could exacerbate the already tense political atmosphere. We call on the Director of the DSS in Kaduna, as well as the State Commissioner of Police, to ensure El-Rufai’s actions do not lead to a breakdown of law and order.”
We are impressed with his visionary leadership and the positive changes he has initiated
As the political atmosphere in Kaduna intensifies, the NCSPG remains resolute in its commitment to support Governor Uba Sani’s re-election bid. “We are impressed with his visionary leadership and the positive changes he has initiated,” Mohammed concluded. “To the citizens of Kaduna, we say: Governor Uba Sani deserves another term, and we will not stand by while our leader is undermined. No vacancy in Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House come 2027!”
With political tensions mounting, all eyes will be on Kaduna as the 2027 gubernatorial race unfolds, amid ongoing accusations, counterclaims, and the relentless pursuit of political power.
