The 21 vice chairpersons of Adamawa State’s local government areas gathered for the highly anticipated “Banquet with Rejoice Dawi.”
Held on March 24, 2025, the event was a vibrant testament to leadership, community service, and the enduring legacy of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s inclusive governance.
The banquet, hosted by the charismatic Rejoice Dawi, radiated warmth and enthusiasm as vice chairpersons from Shelleng, Michika, Girei, Gombi, Hong, Yola South, Fufore, Ganye, Demsa, Song, Jada, Toungo, Yola North, and beyond came together in a powerful show of solidarity.

The declaration sparked thunderous applause, underscoring the admiration and high regard in which the host is held. Adding to the evening’s significance, the vice chairperson of Fufore presented a special token to Governor Fintiri, symbolizing the group’s deep appreciation for his leadership.
The hall then erupted into three rousing cheers for both the Fufore vice chairperson and Dawi, amplifying the spirit of camaraderie.
The event took a lively turn as youths from Demsa dazzled attendees with a mesmerizing cultural dance, their rhythmic steps and vibrant energy showcasing Adamawa’s rich heritage. The performance left the audience captivated, reinforcing the night’s theme of pride in community and tradition.
In a poignant sharing session, each of the 21 vice chairpersons articulated their motivations for leadership and their visions for their constituencies. Their speeches highlighted a shared commitment to uplifting schools, supporting widows and orphans, and driving sustainable development.
