Two warehouses have on Sunday morning and afternoon broken by Hungry and Angry Youths in Yola, Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa.
The Youths stomped a warehouse in Kwanan way along Yola-Gombe Federal Highway and carted away palliatives in thousands of cartons. Later in the afternoon stomped another warehouse at Bakin Kogi, Close to Shinku area and hauled Mattresses and all sort of assorted food items.
Our correspondent who went to the two venues observed that people in their thousands are trumping in from Jimeta town to the warehouses in Kwanan Yawa, about ten kilometres away from Jimeta.
Kwanan Waya was thronged with people mostly Youths in tricycles, Cars and small trucks rushing to the place, some are coming from Yola town and Girei, a distance of about 20 and 25 kilometres respectively. While the warehouse in Bakin Kogi is in the main heart of Jimeta town witnessed people in their numbers going to the place to plunder the warehouse.
A Youth in a video record loaded his tricycle with assorted food items said there is no injustice in the country that’s what compelled them to break the store.
According to him he will not sit down for hungry to kill them and his other siblings. He is also seen in the video calling on Jimeta people to come out in their numbers to have their share.
“There are no good leaders in our country that’s why we came to help ourselves. I’m calling on all people to come for their own too.
“I have five cartons of Indomie buddies, ten cartons of macaroni, bags of Salts, Sugar and seasons.” He said
Jimeta became busy as our correspondent observed and is beyond the control of any security agency as two vehicles with armed police seen not be able to control the mammoth crowd in the two warehouses.
The federal road became busy with a serious gridlock as people either coming to Yola from Gombe or going out of Yola are blocked because of the much number of people going to the warehouse.
The Chairman, Adamawa Concerned Citizens, Alhaji Hussaini Bello Gambo Nakura accused the Executive Governor of the state, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of hoarding the palliatives given by the government of the Federal to use it for his 2023 campaign.
Gambo said is reliably informed that the present government under Umaru refused to distribute the covid-19 palliatives of over two hundred trailers at the detriment of Adamawa people.
According to him, the government of Ahmadu is deliberately starving the people for his 2023 agenda.
He said President Muhammadu Buhari has been vindicated as the Government of Adamawa state is today seen the enemy of its people.
“This is bad Governance and wickedness for a Government to denied it, people, food meant for them. The most painful part of the whole thing is that this same palliatives some people in his government are selling it to black marketers in Yola.” Gambo said
Nakura further said the government in Adamawa is characterized with excruciating pains to its citizens who is promised an experience of fresh air.
He revealed that the Salary of State Judiciary workers, especially the Judges in this month has been underpaid with thirty, thirty-five, twenty, twenty-five thousand deductions.
Gambo heaped blames to Governor Fintiri led administration of insensitive to the plights of the people in the state. Saying that he hold back the distribution of the palliatives given a few months ago to cushion the effects of covid-19 lockdown.
He said the government in the state plans to re-bag it for their 2023 campaign strategy which is very inhuman and not fair to the people of the state.

Governor Fintiri’s Senior Special Aide on Social Mobilization, Mr Victor Dogo responded that the unfortunate thing that happened in Yola was hijacked by some hoodlums in the state.
According to him the Government of Adamawa under Fintiri cannot and would never hoard palliative meant for the people of the state.
He revealed that the palliatives came in bit and the government had earlier scheduled 26th October, 2020 for the distribution but some people have sponsored hoodlums to vandalized the stored item.
He worried that the Youth movement is with a good intentions to change the country for good but bad elements in the state have hijacked it.
