October 2nd, 2023 is a set date for All Progressives Congress (APC) to renew the mandate of its state executive through a congress. This is either to go by consensus or election that will see the emergence of new leaders who will run the affairs of the state’s chapter of the party.
Among the contestant is one of the ebullient Youth of the party who stood for APC from corner to corner and end to end. His loyalty to the party in thin and thick situations was since its inception, formation stage and paid his dues of being a faithful loyal party Man.
Honorable Vrati Nzonzo, the former chairman of Lamurde Local Government from Adamawa Southern Senatorial zone is one of the pillars of APC in that zone that proved beyond doubts a leader who can lead well. The Man who can fit in well for the office of State Chairman of Adamawa APC.
At this time that the party is in between the web of turbulent waves of opposition and the struggles to win the 2023 elections, especially the seat of Governorship , the seat of power that many of the Sons of the party are eyeing. In the interest of all, it will only take a party leader with the ability to make all things work in other to deliver the party from the claws of PDP under Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri leadership to take power from.
Indeed, there is an urgent need for a replacement of the present leadership of APC, important among many reasons is his capacity to wrestle power out of PDP to APC, if he can, he wouldn’t have led the party to gross lose and power let go out of the party in 2019. He would have got the “come what may syndrome”, the Lion King mentally would have exhibited by him to deliver the party, he would have galvanized, work on the consciousness all party members the dangers of losing election while in power, most importantly losing a sitting Governor. The present APC leadership in a way abated and aided in the problems rocking the party. Failure to build a cohesive and United party, their inability to maintain the fair play game to all party faithful members after the 2019 primaries are among many reasons the party went on shambles, and its debris survival only rate a leader like Nzonzo to salvage it.
On the clarion call to change the leadership of Adamawa APC, the urgency must be through a genuine thought by all stakeholders to view the need through the aforementioned reasons.
At this point, the best bet can not be any other person than HON VRATI NZONZO, the intelligent Young Man who has shown his political dexterity when he served the Lamurde people as their council Chairman, one of the elitist Local Government of Adamawa State. Until now his footsteps are followed, his leadership footprint is indelible and his records of achievements remain unbreakable. His political innate capacity has proven when he single-handedly challenged the present deputy Governor, Crowther Seth, and wrestled out power from him for making his sponsored councilor Boy to win the election in APC despite stiff opposition by the government of Ahmadu.
His contact and connection in APC from National to state, down to the grassroots is enough to give him the seat of power to change the story. His political ability is known to be a grassroots base, he is in touch at all the time with the who and who that matters in the rural communities.
Vrati, an expert on peace and conflicts is having much knowledge on political conflict resolutions issues. With him on the saddle, he can pacify, negotiate, solicits, and amicable go for the give and take way of doing politics with all warring parties. He will fix the imminent dangers of disunity that will possibly go unresolved if there is no good leadership. The dangers of failing to give Vrati Adamawa to lead will incurred grave consequences to all party members. This is my concern, my heartfelt touch for the party I’m longing to see it recapturing power in the coming 2023 elections.
To be fair to the Southern Senatorial District of APC, it’s germane for all party critical stakeholders to zone the Chairmanship position to the area. This is because it is the area with less APC presence, Numan federation is the area that APC still need to have total control of, it, therefore, needs a rudder of leadership, a hit, and an arrow leader man like Nzonzo to convert all the convertibles to APC.
I’m assuring APC members to rally around Vrati, he will take the panadol for everyone’s headache in APC. If we give Nzonzo the seat, we can go to sleep because he can deliver the party to victory.
With Nzonzo in the helms of affairs, power in the hands of PDP is like leper holding a pearl of gift, Collecting it is as simple as singing the elementary ABC alphabets
