The Lawmaker representing Hong Constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon Bathiya Wesley has distributed assorted food items to hundreds of Muslims to aide them observe the Ramadan month of Fasting.
The food items which comprises bags of Rice, per-boiled rice and millets have been distributed across the five wards making up the constituency is representing.
Wesley told this medium that hundreds of his constituents are observing this year’s spiritual exercise at a time that there are a lot of security threats in so many parts of Hong Local Government area and their prayers are needed to wade them off.
He called on the Muslims ummah to pray for the country especially his system constituency of Uba/Gaya which in recent times hundreds of people were displaced and needing one help or the other in the two constituencies of Hong LGA.
According to him the food items provided are to support them have a successful and peaceful Ramadan as they pray for the returning of peace in the various communities attacked in the two constituencies.
While calling for prayers by all individuals who are willing for a secured community, he enjoined his constituents to be security conscious by imbibing the community policing techniques, knowing what is happening in and outside their environments
“I’m using this as my own way of telling our Muslim Brethren that the country needs their prayers against all aggressors and agitations working against the corporate existence of Nigeria, I’m equally begging them to pray for our communities under constant attacks by gunmen, either they be bandits, Boko Haram or kidnappers.
” I’m wishing them a most successful and a peaceful Ramadan, wishing them a blissful experience and the rewards from Allah whose at this time heart of Mercy is close to humanity and the gates of heavens are wide open for blessings to Mankind.” Wesley said
