A Governorship aspirant seeking a ticket of All Progressive Congress APC in Adamawa state Abdullahi Ahmed Musa says RUGA practice is what Nigerians need to avert the security challenges bedeviling the Nation.
Abdulahi Ahmed Musa, a private estate developer who is and an aspiring for the governorship ticket of APC said ” Nigeria in general will have a lasting peace between Farmers and headers only if the governors adopt the RUGA option”
Ahmed disclosed this in Yola, while speaking to our correspondent, he noted that “government at both Federal and State level should see the fulani as the important specie that is contributing greatly to the Economy of the nation”
According to him, “the incessant clashes between Farmers and headers in the country will only come to end if the fulani are giving a befitting place in all States across the Federation to rear their cattle”
” Provide schools for their children to attend and give their wives a place to do their small trade”
Let me tell you, no Fulani man will like to move around in bush when he knows that there is place he can stay and sell his cattles”
The governorship hopeful said the support for states to collect VAT by governor Finitiri is totally uncalled for stressing that Adamawa does not have the industry to sustain it, except if the needful is done.
Noting that the Infrastructural Development of Finitiri’s government is not what the state needs now but what the state needs now is development that will generate income for state.
” Invest in the Airline just like Akwa-Ibon state did, ” Adamawa state remains the only state in the North that has four flights in and out every day”
Adding that ” it takes only N650m to establish an airline company which will generate a lot of revenue for the state because of the high traffic of air travellers everyday in Yola”.
If these steps are taking, Adamawa will not the N100b agric bond that the governor is seeking infact, I am taking legal action to stop the government of Ahmadu Fintiri from accessing 100BN bond.
” What Finitiri want to is further plunge the state into serious poverty and salaries will not be paid
Calling on the government of Adamawa State to seek on how to address the housing deficit, by accessing openings that are available to give civil servant houses that they can call a home.
He encouraged the State governors, particularly Adamawa State governor to consider building brewery companies in order to generate revenue to the State, as the brewery is boosting the Economy of some States that have the companies, hence the need for governor Fintiri to emulate them
