President Muhammadu Buhari has said that Dangote Group, after the Federal Government, is the largest employer of labour in Nigeria.

Buhari stated this during the inauguration of the three million metric tonnes capacity Dangote Fertiliser plant built at a cost of $2.5 billion in Lagos.

The president visited Lagos on Tuesday for the inauguration of the plant located at Ibeju Lekki and built on 500 hectares of land.

Buhari, who hinted that the fertiliser company was already exporting its product to other countries, including the United States, Mexico, India, and Brazil, added that the contributions of Dangote Industries have further affirmed Nigeria’s leadership in Africa.

In his welcome address earlier, the President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, described the plant as the largest granulated urea plant in Africa, and the second largest in the world.
