INEC:Abbo beats Fintiri’s candidate, returns elected as Adamawa Northern Senator

The people Democratic party’s candidate believe to have been sponsored by the Governor of Adamawa State, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri was beaten by the incumbent Senator Ishaku Abbo (SIA).

Reverend Yohanna Amos was defeated by Abbo despite the good fight he gave to win the election.

Independent national electoral commission, INEC, while declaring Senator Ishaku Abbo as the winner of the Saturday’s senatorial election of the Adamawa Northern seat said SIA scored 71, 927 votes.

Amos who scored, 61,895 votes made him the closest Abbo’s opponent of the All Progressives Congress candidate among many contestant.

The INEC official said “Senator Ishaku Abbo haven satisfy the requirement of the law is hereby declare a winner.”

There was a wild jubilation in Mubi as senator Abbo re-elected

Abbo admitted the contest was keenly contested and the battle was won through the votes of the people of Adamawa Northern zone.

Abbo while thanking God he posted a message im his Facebook verifiable page and said:

“I passed through the waters, through the flood nearly drowning me. I passed through the fire but through the blood.

“Sorrow sometimes visited and nearly overwhelmed me but God gave me a new song.

“Congratulations to all that gave their all to this course.

“2019 was mine. This 2023 victory is yours. God bless you all.”
