Recently the Adamawa State sport players (ASSP) association have organized a victory solidarity walk for Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as an endorsement for his second tenure in office.
ASSP through its President, Mr Geofree Naphtali said Ahmadu is the best Governor that credible performed well in returning sports’ glory in the state.
According to him Ahmadu has break the camel’s back of retardation and retrogression in sports, that before now the spirit of sports in sport enthusiasts is almost dead.
He said with the renovation of Ribadu square, a world standard sport complex which is left unrenovated for decades and giving much attention to the ministry of sports has made Fintiri a celebrated Governor.
Geofree also said their endorsement also follow after a contract awarded by Governor Ahmadu for the construction of a world edifice stadium in Yola.
“This will attract foreign investors in the area of sports and Football International players will be discovered in Adamawa state.” Naphtali said
He continued to say that these are giant strides that the governor did for the generational transformation of sports activities in the state.
Geofree in an interview with our correspondent in Yola praised Fintiri’s ingenuity spirit and the passion he has to touch Adamawa Youth positively in the area of sport deserves unwavering support for his second term.
He,, therefore called on all sports lovers to dust out their PVCs and make sure Fintiri is returned elected on 11th March 2023 to continue what he has started.
“Since the history of Adamawa State no Governor has given sports attention like Fintiri, the state football clubs were all in relegation. Clubs like Volleyball, Taekwondo, Judo, Basketball, and Tennis are almost dead including indoor sports.
“But thank God to this Man, he has given us hope that when the five mega stadiums will be completed sporting activities will be fully restored.
“I making a clarion call, a call to make sure that sports of all kinds survive in Adamawa to our Youth that their votes should be counted for Fintiri in the interest of the sport,” Geoffrey said
The endorsement by ASSP has also gotten widespread that the 21 local government areas will all have a walk in his solidarity.
The convener, Mr. Daniel Ahmed who is an acting Director in the state Ministry of sports confirmed to us that Youth of Adamawa, especially those who are sports lovers are behind the current government because of what he is doing.
Ahmed called for their willingness to stage for a victory walk before 11th March when Fintiri will be voted again for a second term.
