A bill for a law to amend the Adamawa state University (ADSU) law of two 2001 to conform with the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) guidelines with regards to retirement age of Academic staff and other matters has scaled through second reading on the floor of the state legislature.
The bill which is sponsored by member representing Mubi South Abdulrahman Abubakar Isa was presented for second reading by Barrister Sani Muhammad Shehu of Mubi North Constituency during Tuesday plenary session.
Speaker kabiru Mijinyawa who presided over the sitting referred the Bill to house committee on education for scrutiny and report back to the house within two weeks.
Also on the order paper of the day are the notice of a bill for a law to amend the Area Courts Edict nineteen eighty eight so as to provide for minimum qualification of an Area Court Judge sponsored by chairman house committee on justice and judiciary Barrister Sani Muhammad Shehu of Mubi North.
The other notice on the order paper is the bill for a law to provide for Autonomy for Adamawa United Football Club governing board sponsored by vice chairman house committee on Youth and Sports Hammanjoda Umar Farang of Jada Mbulo Constituency.
