The Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has formed a political niche for himself at a very quiet younger age. This is certainly the will of God, a push by an invisible hand of God.
At about 35 or there about age he bagged the masses Slogan of the word “ATM”, simply translated and interpreted as the most public servant friendly Governor, a workaholic and a performer. This was because of his constant and apt in paying current and backlog salaries while an acting Governor of the state. It goes beyond paying salaries with just three months of his stay in office.
Ahmadu nicked name ATM was the radiant glory of his political fortunes. The name followed him and branded him a celebrated Governor in 2019 who won the election when nobody thought he can.
At 54 years old the ATM name is still ringing a louder bell as promised made to the payment of Salaries is kept with another style of adopting the new minimum wage salary scale for the civil servants.
TGnews.com.ng, an online news platform whose corporate headquarters is in Jimeta, Adamawa state and state of Taraba, Abuja and Kaduna in a statement signed by the Editor-in-Chief, Tom Garba saluted Ahamdu and described him a Governor beyond the slogan of ATM.
The statement of Tgnews.com.ng extolled the administration of Fintiri while marking his 54th birthday as a revolver and revival of Adamawa’s ancient glory.
” Sir, no doubt about it, you worked the ways, your innovation for Adamawa state is true of transformation agenda. Building on a strong foundation of the good work started by past Governors like Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, one of the good Man that laid the good foundation for you to carry on the good work.
“You have indeed taken the bull by its horns, you wrestled down enemies of the state to ensure Adamawa is really answering well the land of beauty it’s known for, your decision to pull off the old glory of the past decked by the state, you removed the reproach of underdevelopment and you gave it a new name of a” future assured state of development”. You changed the narrative and the outlook appearance of the state capital is one in town, one of its million kinds in the whole of northern Nigeria.
“At 54 years old you deserve a puffing up wine of celebration for turning around shackles of backwardness to a progressive agenda governor for the people of Adamawa state.
” The glory of your 54th celebration was made manifest when the critical stakeholders of PDP saw in you a Man with the Lionheart, a lion king to pilot well the affairs of the party national Congress.
“The glory of your 54th birthday is seen in the peaceful and harmonious coexistence among the many tribes in the state, the security atmospheric nature is stepping up with your efforts in thwarting the Shila Boys deadly group. In your regime, the bombs are no more bombing, the killings and the attacks on farmers/herders are not too much heard. The Northern zone that was entirely sent packing by Boko Haram is a return of peace to the once deserted communities. What a Governor you are.”
While we give our thunderous hearty and cheering celebration, congratulating you for achieving this glorious and envious feats, may we however called your attention to some of your policies that Tgnews.com.ng observed are harsh to the entire people of the state.
Sir, May your 54th birthday be kind to the thousands of the sacked workers since when you are an acting Governor to your current position as a leader leading the state with full capacity to take whatever decision in the interest of the good people of Adamawa state.
Sir, may your 54th celebration of your birthday give you more wisdom to utilize well loan collected with the sole aim of “development and economy growth” considering the naira devaluation when in exchange for a dollar. It means a huge interest rate will be a burden to the state.
Sir, while commenting you on your administration focus for the urban renewal mandate in the state, may I call your attention to many of Adamawa communities that lack portable, good access roads and better health care services that are still dreaming to hear when the ATM Governor will give them the messiah visit.
Mr. ATM Governor, I humbly want to say that your administration is drifting away from the earlier promises made to carry everyone along, especially the state’s senior stakeholders irrespective of party, tribe, and religion to have a united team that will turn Adamawa into a haven. You once said” Adamawa is ours, is for everyone and I will run an inclusive government.”
Your government Sir is having a less affirmative agenda on Youth, this is not to say much on how women are less participatory in your administration. Worthy of note Sir is the ministry of Youth and sports development that the state football team is embroiled under confusion and management crisis is rocking the agency with a seemingly unresolved solution.
It’s beyond the shadows of doubt, at 54 years old you earned it good at quite young age, a privilege God always give to whosoever is most deserving at a particular time for His glory and to achieve a purpose. In Adamawa today Sir you are of God’s chosen. Thanks to Him, for breaking many protocols, against all odds He sees you the best bate. A reason you are under His mercies to do your best for the people.
