A new born Baby founds under culvert in Taraba

On Sunday night 3rd June 2018 was a shocked day to the people of Sarkin Dawaki Word in Jalingo local government area of Taraba State when a new born baby boy was throwned under cautbert and found by members of Vigillents group in the area.

The boy whose mother could not be identified was found in a well dressed clothe and in a good health condition.

Reacting on the tragedy, a Counselor representing Sarki Dawaki Ward at Jalingo local government Council Hon. Kabiru Yarima told our Correspondent that he was among those that went and pick up the baby and reported to the word head and later to the police, where after they agreed that one of the members of the vigillentes group should keep the baby in his house pending when the police completed their investigation on the matter.

” When I was informed about the incident by members of the vigillentes group in my ward we went and carried the baby already birth and well dressed and we took him to the ward head where we agreed that since the wife of one of the Vigillantees member had gave birth recently she should take care the child pending when Emir of Muri Dr. Abbas Tafida and the police will decide” he said.

Hon. Kabiru Yarima who described the incident as unfortunate and first of its kind, advised Women to be God fearing in all their dealings, saying that if a woman can carried pregnancy for 9 months and gave birth to a child without feeling disturbed his sees no reason that she cannot hold and take care of he or she as a child.

When contacted through a telephone call on the matt, Taraba State Police Public Relations Officer ASP David Misal said they are not aware about the incident yet but promised to give more information when they receive a report on the issue.
