It just came to my attention that Barr AT Shehu, the so-called state chairman of PDP in Adamawa state, making a disparaging comments against Dr. Umar Ardo, describing him as a tenant in the PDP.
Let someone help me tell AT Shehu to please shut his mouth up as he and his ilk are in no moral position to talk in any sane society. If he pretends he doesn’t know let him be told in no uncertain terms that his current position as the so-called state chairman of our great party is today a national embarrassment to the PDP. The whole country by now knows (thanks to Dr. Ardo) that the way and manner the Adamawa State PDP State Working Committee came to office is unconditional, sleazy and disgraceful.
Let me remind AT Shehu that he was a member of the Adamawa State CTC that organized the State Congress election in which he and 10 others like him were at the same time the (sole) candidates in the election they were organizing. Even as a so-called lawyer whose legal profession is just in name, he would know that such an act is repugnant to natural justice. You cannot organize an election in which you are also the candidate; in other words, he organized his own election. I am naturally averse of people who live a life of deceit, dishonesty and injustice.
But because the meal ticket that the party office offers him is all that is important to him, laws and values really don’t matter, no matter how destructive that can be to our institutions and to our state. A person like that to have the guts to talk in public against a decent person like Dr. Ardo is clear indication that our society, and our politics, is bereft of moral values and ethics, and as a result of that we can all see how things are drifting inexorably into chaos.
That our state and country today are facing insecurity and bloodshed is mainly because of the rampant commitments of such unlawful, unjust and indecent acts by people like AT Shehu and other members of the Adamawa state PDP State EXCO.
Indeed, this is the more reason why today Adamawa state, more than ever before, need principled and incorruptible politicians of high, unquestionable integrity and moral values like Dr. Umar Ardo to take charge of the affairs of our state so as to reform our society and put a stop to these destructive actions and tendencies of such public operators like AT Shehu and his ilks. Until we commit ourselves to putting away selfish and dishonest individuals from holding public offices in Adamawa state, our people will continue witnessing poverty, hunger, deprivation, illiteracy, disease, civil unrest and general state of insecurity and underdevelopment.
