Abdulrauf is still Rep-elect of Adamawa constituency-Court of appeal upheld judgment

Court of Appeal sitting in Yola has upheld the victory of Abdulrauf Abdulkadir Modibbo as Member Elect for Yola North,Yola South and Girei Federal Constituency

Abdulrauf Modibbo who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC after defeating other contestants during the Party Primaries in October twenty eighteen and subsequently defeated Jafaru Suleiman Ribadu of People’s Democratic Party among others in the March twenty nineteen General Elections respectively.

Ruling on the appeal filed against the main judgement on the outcome of the Party Primaries by Federal High Court in Yola, a three-man panel of the Court of Appeal has set aside the earlier judgment by Justice AM Anka.

In an interview with the consels to Abdulrauf Abdulkadir Modibbo shortly after the judgment Barrister Suleiman Shaibu and Barrister Samuel Atom on Monday in Yola said their were four appeals at the instances of APC and four at the Instances of Abdulrauf Abdulkadir Modibbo and eight other cross appeals

The counsels to Abdulrauf Modibbo said the Cross appeals against the judgment dismissing the suit for being statute barred were all unsuccessful and were accordingly dismissed at the appeal court in Yola.

According to them the court of Appeal Yola Division upheld the judgment dismissing the suit by the Federal High Court and described their successful victory today in favour of Abdulrauf Abdulkadir Modibbo as a victory to the people of Yola North, Yola South and Girei Federal Constituency.
