The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) is expected to lift the suspension of its National Executive Committee (NEC) Chairman, Mamman Mike Osuman (SAN), today. This development comes after a successful reconciliation meeting convened by the ACF Unity, Peace and Reconciliation Committee on Saturday.

According to reliable sources, the decision to lift the suspension follows a series of meetings aimed at resolving the leadership crisis within the organization. Osuman was initially suspended over allegations that he made unauthorized statements suggesting the North would back a northern presidential candidate in the 2027 elections.
The crisis was not just about Osuman’s statements, but also stemmed from long-standing issues within the organization
However, insiders reveal that the crisis was not just about Osuman’s statements, but also stemmed from long-standing issues within the organization, including personality clashes and ego battles between Osuman and the chairman of the forum’s Board of Trustees (BoT).
The reconciliation meeting, chaired by Alhaji Mahmud Yayale Ahmed, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), has paved the way for Osuman’s reinstatement. The ACF is expected to make an official announcement today, barring any last-minute developments.
