Adamawa APC condemns attack on its chieftain, says it is a genuine criticism

All Progressives Congress,APC Adamawa state Chapter has condemned in strongest term the alleged threat to life issued to its chieftain,Alhaji Hussaini Gambo Nakura by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri over COVID 19 palliatives .

State organizing secretary of the party,Ahmad Lawan made the position of the party known in Yola Thursday stressing that the Governor has goofed by making such unguided statement to a fellow citizen due to his comment on the recent looting and vandalisation of warehouses by hoodlums in the state.

Recalls,there was an audio mobile phone conversation between Governor Fintiri and Gambo Nakura circulating on the social media from Wednesday evening where the later (Fintiri) was threatening to deal with Nakura over his remarks against his government.

Lawan said the exalted office occupied by his person is beyond pettiness allegedly exhibited by Governor Fintiri just because he was criticised on the way and manner his led administration is handling the distribution of relief materials received from Federal government and donors .

He advised Fintiri to accept objective criticisms and genuine objections in good faith so that it can guide him in taking the right decisions for the people in the state.

Speaking on the matter,Hussaini Nakura confirmed to our correspondent that the audio is authentic explaining that Governor Fintiri called his mobile phone on Wednesday by 8:00pm and started threatening him .

Nakura maintained that the development has to do with an Interview he granted an online TV,Voice of Arewa based in Yola criticising Fintiri and his administration on causing breach of law and order in the state over palliatives hoarding.

“Honestly the audio is authentic because Governor Fintiri called me on Wednesday’s evening threatening me to stop talking about his government or else he will deal with me”.Nakura stated.

Reacting to the viral audio,Director General,Media and communications to Governor Fintiri,Solomon Kumangar said the alleged audio seemed to be doctored.
