A gearing momentum of the All Progressives Congress (APC) group toward unity, membership drive is noticed today at the Fombina Ambassador royal suites in Yola where prominent sons and Daughters of the party have met and discussed way forward for the party.
The group under the umbrella of Adamawa APC unity forum under the leadership of Abubakar Hamma Girei (Dan Lawan Girei) directing its general affairs seems to take the bull by its horns from the fallen debris of 2023 general elections.
The group invited able members of the party from the 21 Local Government areas of the State and preached to them the sole aim and objective of the forum is to focus on Unity and drawing new members into the Party’s fold.
The members brainstormed on a way forward and intimated the delegates from the 21 Local Government areas that APC remains a party for every serious politicians and anyone else who has good intentions for the development of Adamawa State.
The officials of the forum who are critical stakeholders in APC like Hon Abdulmulmuni Song, Hon Vrati S Nzonzo, Hon Abdullahi Umar Yapak, Zacharia Madayi, Mohammed Mayas, Danjuma Iliyasu, Hon Gambo Garamba, Sali Yunusa, Halima Hayatu, Hon Hussaini Ahmadu Har,Abdultawab Haruna, Hon Safiyanu Muleng, Dauda Kushi, Haruna T Daniel, Hasiya Abubakar and Aminu Bobboi unanimously agreed that the party must reconcile all its members to achieve their set goal.
While addressing delegates, the Director General, Abubakar Hamma began and reiterated that Adamawa APC under the leadership of Nuhu Ribadu and the state Chairman, Barr Idris Shuaibu said APC party is being loved by Adamawa people.
He said the passion for the party by the people of Adamawa State has compelled the forum to embark on a membership drive and to make bold effort to reconcile waring or aggrieve party members.
Abubakar Hamma extolled the efforts made by an elder statesman, Alhaji Sadiq Kalu (Walin Ganye) for loving the party and giving all he can to ensure the party stand on solid ground before 2027.
According to him the reconciliation move is a Strategy for all Party members to embrace in order to make sure the party is one and is the certainty that Will make them takeover the government house come 2027.
The delegates were charged to know that the duty of wooing people to the party is the task they must go by telling them the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.
One of which according to Vrati S Nzonzo while addressing them is the restoration of security in many parts of Nigeria and the policies in place implemented by the Tinubu’s leadership are geared toward total liberation of the country’s economy backlashes.
His address to the delegates, Hon Yapak, a two term lawmaker representing Vere constituency said with unity of purpose, a massive membership drive which will give room for new members to be part of the new Adamawa APC said will no doubt make them to taking over Adamawa government house.
He begged them to reach out to people at the grassroot with the message of unity and Party productivity through registering new people as Bonafide members.
With gladness of heart the attendees who are the local government areas chairmen and chairpersons accepted the new Gospel of the Adamawa State APC of unity and registration of new members and vowed to commit to it and do their best.
