Adamawa APC guber Primaries: It is a transparent ‘bumper to bumper’ open secret ballots

The keenly contesting the governorship ticket of Adamawa State under the All Progressives Congress (APC) our reporter observed that it is a bumper-to-bumper battle between the contestants.

A jugular to jugular battle with each aspirant holding and gaging his or her votes with a hope to win.

The contest going on at Lamido Cinema in Yola started yesterday evening, around 6:30 pm with the screening and accreditation of delegates by INEC, observers, and party officials from the National.

The aspirants in the race are former EFCC pioneer Chairman, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Sitting Senator Aishatu Ahmed Dahiru Binani, Pharmacist Wafari Theman, and Alhaji Umar Mustapha (Otumba) all from Adamawa Central Senatorial zone.

Others are the immediate past Governor of the state, Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow from Adamawa Northern Senatorial zone, and the current member representing Tongo, Ganye, Jada, and Mayo Belwa in the national assembly, Honourable Abdulrazak Sa’ad Namdas from Adamawa Southern Senatorial zone.

Tgnews.com.ng correspondent who is at the venue observed that the whole exercise is done with whole elements of transparency and accountability.

Every accredited delegate is having a sit with his name tag and the LG is coming from and no agents are allowed to write for any delegates his candidate of choice.

The exercise which transversed to this morning is ongoing with two LGs casting their votes. It’s indeed not an easy contest to all six aspirants.
