The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Adamawa has confirmed the resignation of Sen. Aishatu Binani as Coordinator, of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) following her nullification as governorship candidate by the federal high court.
Mr Raymond Chidama, state party secretary stated this to newsmen shortly after the stakeholders meeting on Friday in Yola.
“Just this morning we saw her letter of stepping down from that responsibility”, he said.
According to him, all the candidates from the president down to the state assembly were the coordinators for their respective constituencies.
He added that as a result of Binani’s nullification, M.r Martin Babale, former deputy governor to former Gov. Muhammad Bindow will coordinate the campaign council in the state.
He explained that the party had finally resolved at the stakeholders meeting held on Friday for the local Government chairmen to come up with an inclusive list that reflects all the areas for the campaign team.
“The party had directed all local Government chairmen of the party to go back and meet to come back with an ormidable list that will be acceptable to all that will serve as the PCC in the state and operate at each level when it comes down.
“As you are aware there is a PCC list from t national level for the state that list will not be affected ”, he said.
